Wholly Guacamole!

Our baby is now the size of an avocado, which is slgihtly larger than an apple. There was a debate on Saturday as to the size of each.

I commented to Marcus last night that I felt a lot less nausea than I had in recent weeks. I also slept really well last night. I am hopeful I am turning a corner at 16 weeks. Next week will be the big test when I am at my convention and on my feet for 16 hours per day. I definetely plan to "take it easy" as best I can, but a meeting has to be planned and I am a meeting planner!

from Baby Center: Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.

I read the part about you sleeping well and hopefully turning a corner and I had to chuckle a bit! :) While sleep is a necessity to a pregnant woman, GOOD sleep is not!

But, I'm glad you are not so nauseated! I wasn't sick with either girl, so I can't relate to that.

Now, heartburn? That's a whole 'nother story!
