We decided to try peanut butter and jelly for dinner. I'm trying to get some protein in since Abby is protesting most meats. Don't worry, her pediatrician approves of nuts since neither of us have any nut-related allergies. She took one bite and then no more. I think she really just wanted the bread and was trying to get the peanut butter and jelly off her beloved bread. We'll try again next month and hope for better luck.

I broke the rules on this way and just gave Kiersten a spoon of peanut butter. That was the only way I could get her to eat it. Now she'll dip her crackers in it but get jelly anywhere near it, and it isn't gonna happen.
If she'll eat pasta and you want protein, try the Barrilla Plus pasta. It takes like regular pasta but has 17 grams of protein per serving, pluse Omega-3.
Have I got an idea for you! This worked with both of my girls!
Homemade French Toast!
Take her favorite bread, soak it in egg/milk mixture. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon/sugar and cook it in a skillet. She gets her bread and her protein.
Also, can you give her hard boiled eggs? My kids loved those too.
Also, HEB has high-protein bagels called "Nature's Grain Carb Check".
My friend's daughter loved "Butter Pops" when she was younger...peanut butter on a spoon! Don't worry, Abby will get her nutrients one way or another. Does she like beans? Those are a great source of protein for kids to eat. Billa likes to eat black beans as if they're jelly beans. If I'm not careful, she'll eat almost a whole can without even blinking! OOOH...and Erica's right...French bread is a great idea! So are egg whites!
