This week Abby is the size of a cantaloupe. I would agree that she has gone through a major growth spurt in the past couple of weeks. I feel like my skin is working really hard to hold her up! This week we have a doctors appointment on Thursday and our second birthing class that night. There still seems to be so much to learn. In the next few weeks, we will begin packing our bag for the hospital, develop our phone/email tree, purchase a birthing ball, and I'll finish reading the "What to Expect When You Are Expecting Book". I'm amazed we have made it to this stage and excited for the next 6 weeks.
from Baby Center:
Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.

birthing balls are the best. I sat on my for the last month. Just took it to the kitchen table, computer desk. They are worth it. I think they are 20 at Academy
Love the picture! Kristi did a great job!
Yes, the pictues are beautiful!!
Love the picture and what a priceless memory. The next six weeks will fly by. Ditto with Kristi about the ball, I took mine to the hospital and spent a lot of time with it.
