We think Abby might be teething. It is hard to tell- I can see white bumps on her bottom middle gums, but don't know if they have always been there or are new. She has been extra fussy today and only her Praise Baby DVD has calmed her. We have watched it ALL.DAY.LONG.
So, tonight, we pulled out the teething gel and tried applying it. She did not like the taste of it. The tears flowed and the yucky faces were made. We'll keep watching those white spots and let you know.
On the sleep front, she did nap in her bed some this weekend which is big. Last night she fussed multiple times until 10:30 when she finally fell asleep and she awoke at 5:00 and was moved into the swing. Tonight, she fussed going down, but has been out for about 45 minutes without fussing. I hope she stays out and gets a good night's rest.

Hyland's teething tablets are amazing. They're homeopathic so you don't have to worry too much about giving it to an infant and there's a touch of chamomile so not only does it help the pain go away, it also helps them to sleep.
Poor baby girl! Cora's gums get thick when she's about to cut a tooth. You might could check and see if the gums look thicker where the white bumps are. My pedi told me that baby's teeth move around a lot under the gums before they start teething. It makes them drool a lot and can make it uncomfortable. I hope she has a better night tonight!
Just throw out the teething gel. No, really. Throw it out. It's too much of a hassle and as you've seen, it sure isn't making things better! Tylenol and Motrin worked wonders for us along with some good old fashioned mommy & daddy lovin' :o) I've heard great things about Hyland's, but we haven't tried them yet. It will get better I promise! The first few teeth are a doozy, but it will get better. Get what rest you can and love on that beautiful girl! We'll be praying it's over soon!
Ohhh poor baby!! Makes me want to drive to austin and love on her!!
Teething is harder than the sleepless nights in my opinion! There is not much that soothes them! I've heard that teething feels like a constant itchy tingling sensation! Poor thing! Michael right there with her! I see four popping out on top! Yikes!!!!
